West Coast Brewing - GMT 

West Coast Brewing, Shizuoka, Japan approached threebrand to create packaging for a limited and special edition range of barrel-aged brews. The client wanted this to sit apart from the core West Coast Brewing range which led us to look to a modern interpretation of Japanese gaming as inspiration.

We agreed that a strong brand architecture with a simple aesthetic should be created. Into this, we added illustrations created by local Shizouka based artists. Each brew would has a different image and style.

For added disruption, we used an atypical bottle and closure for the category. The strong simple labelling allows the artist’s work to shine.
