The first legal whiskey to be distilled in Galway in over a century – Micil Distillery

Micil Distillery, a family of poitín distillers from the West of Ireland, are making their mark on the Irish whiskey industry with the first legal whiskey to be distilled in Galway in over a century. The double distilled peated single malt is finished in Palo Cortado, Amantillado and Pedro Ximénez casks and is limited to just 360 bottles.

The super exclusive release is the brand’s most premium offer to date and therefore dictated a visual design worthy of such prestige.

The core bottle is embellished with 3D print embossing and gold foil screenprint. Whilst a striking black with gold foil secondary label echoes the visual DNA of the core range. The bottle is topped off with a bold red wax seal to add a handcrafted and authentic feel.

The secondary box features a colourful artwork that is an abstract interpretation of the tapestry of culture that is Galway City. Threads of creativity, rebellion and free-spirited expression run through the city and we aimed to bring this vibrant and bohemian attitude to life with fluid and colourful art. Paired with a black covering and gold foil accents the pack is strikingly simple and premium.
