Appointed by Bord Bia we have worked closely with the Crolly Distillery team to create an identity for their new Irish Whiskey Brand. This includes brand marque, primary and secondary packaging and support materials. We also delivered the interior and exterior visualisation of the newly opened visitor centre, alongside Cubit3D.
The brand marque reinforces the brand’s Irish roots, appearing in its Gaelic form Croithlí. Detail such as the slant across the ‘h’ and ‘l’ echo the shoulder or Errigal - a mountain that dominants the Dongeal landscape. The black slab typeface ensures clear stand out on back bar and off-premise environments.
Our labelling for the core Coillin Darrach range uses colour to differentiate each variant with the oak used in finishing being dominantly called out across a common front panel. This is supported by a stunning lino cut illustration created by Irish artist Joanna Heaney that brings alive the rugged and charismatic nature of the Glenveagh area.
Based on the proposition of ‘Forging Timeless Connections’ our work celebrates the distillery’s unique surroundings. Set between the Wild Atlantic Coast and the majestic Glenveagh mountains the distillery, its people and the liquid is shaped by the landscape.
The air, the turf, the wind, the light, the fire and the peat soil have all formed Donegal, its people and their way of life. It plays a huge role in whiskey making by shaping the ingredients and the process.
We're an international branding and design agency, delivering outstanding creative solutions.
